All of our long blocks use seasoned, hand picked cores that are thermo cleaned, checked for core shift, magnafluxed, shot blasted, equal and parallel decked, align honed, centerline perpendicular bored, CK-10 honed with torque plates, clearanced, screw galley and core plugs installed, cam bearings installed, block prepped and lifter bores honed, cleaned and painted; crankshafts are thermo cleaned, magnafluxed, shot blasted, precision ground and micro polished, factory hand picked rod cores, thermo cleaned, shot blasted, precision stage III reconditioned and side dressed; high quality precision pistons, moly rings, performance bearings and seals.  Our Sehr Street Long Blocks add our Sehr high torque complete cylinder heads, cam and lifter kit, street push rods, rocker arm kit, and timing set. Components are assembled and set up for the combination. All these engines run on pump gas and are the right choice for the person who wants a quality engine at the best price.

This engine is a great choice for the person who is looking for a good fuel efficient engine without sacrificing low end torque. GM designed this engine for mid sized cars and trucks to provide good power and be fuel conscious as well. This engines 3.766” bore and the 3.48” stroke provides good all around power and torque for most general applications. The compression ratio of this engine is 8.8:1 with our high torque street 68cc cylinder head and uses a stage II 5.7” connecting rod. We use a custom street camshaft for optimum efficiency and features heavy duty parts to achieve maximum reliability. The street 305 engine is not a high RPM power house, however it does provide super reliable efficiency for most all street applications.

Everyone seems to have forgotten about the super 327 engine, but we didn’t. This engine has quick RPM capabilities due to the larger 4” bore and the shorter 3.25” stroke. This engine is a great choice if one desires good mid range torque and power with great response. This engine is designed for a lighter vehicle that requires a higher RPM range and can have some fuel saving characteristics when the correct camshaft is used. This engine uses a stage II 5.7” connecting rod and the compression will be 8.5:1 using our high torque street 72cc cylinder heads. We use a custom street camshaft for great efficiency and use heavy duty parts for maximum reliability. The 327 engine is a good reliable engine for light cars and trucks using a lower gear and requiring a higher RPM range.

Not too many people know of this smaller cubic inch stroker engine but we know quite a lot about it. This little torque monster is the perfect combination of torque and power with a good potential of fuel economy. Designed for good low end torque due to the smaller 3.766” bore and the larger 3.75” stroke, this engine is a great choice for lower weight towing capabilities or a heavier weight car. This engine utilizes a stage II 5.565” connecting rod and has an 8.9:1 compression ratio using our high torque street 74cc cylinder heads. We use a custom street camshaft which enhances efficiency and we use heavy duty parts for our greater reliability requirements. This engine is not designed for higher RPM use, but is a good choice for one who needs the torque for towing or has a heavier vehicle with a higher gear. This engine can save some fuel as well due to the torque increases.

** All Dyno trend estimations are designed to give an average horsepower and torque platform using known performance characteristics of our recommended engine management components.  They are configured using a 650cfm carburetor, level one performance camshaft, an aluminum street performance intake, and 1 5/8" headers.

Our internally balanced 3.750” stroke crankshaft removes the external weight used for balancing to the inside and spreads evenly along the crankshaft. This decreases crank flex and snout deflection which provides a stronger and smoother running engine.

Complete Balanced Assembly

Our competition balanced assembly provides a much smoother running engine, better throttle response and fuel economy. We equalize the weight of all rotating and reciprocating components, build the appropriate bob weights, and precision spin balance the crankshaft through the 8000RPM range. This insures less dynamic friction and more power and torque. Because any small imbalance multiplies with RPM, balancing can correct (In some cases) hundreds of pounds of effective imbalance which keeps the engine from fighting itself and relieves un-wanted stress on critical engine components.

We use our experience and expertise in engine building to insure correct parts installation and positive engine seal.

We then calculate needed carb CFM and timing curve for the engine requirements. We properly curve the distributor then correctly install and seal it. We install the high volume water pump, and a correctly calibrated Quick Fuel carb. A new distributor hold down and thermostat housing is installed. Custom NGK spark plugs recommended by NGK engineers specifically for your engine are installed along with plug wires.

We eliminate the possibility of using the wrong components so the engine will have all “The Right Stuff” to provide the desired results. Just bolting on parts isn’t good enough and because there are so many options available, choosing the correct and calibrated control components is essential for proper engine performance and reliability.

Getting the most out of your engine not only requires putting together the right components, but also making sure that all the components are working together properly. On our in-house dyno we get real time data and have the ability to correctly tune together all the components to not only get great reliability but also great power and torque. The first 30-45 minutes of running time is the most critical time for proper component parts break in. If the tune, fuel mixture, or timing curve is not correct engine or parts damage can occur. We monitor all of these things in real time so your engine is not only primed and prepped correctly but it’s also broken in properly.

We individually calibrate all components to work together for the best reliability and to get the most out of your engine. Proper engine priming, confirming oil pressure and flow, appropriate fuel pressure, timing, tune, and correct break in procedures are required. All of this is included in our dyno package.
